Remains of L.A.

Traces of L.A.'s past can still be found, in the kitsch of '50s diners and the decayed glamour of '40s hotspots… and sometimes the food is good, and there are nice people.

Dear people who read Remains of L.A.,

I’ve been thinking about putting my blog posts together into a book. The first step is to gather together a dozen or so of my best posts. But the posts I love most might not be the same as the posts my readers love most! So I’m asking for a favor.  Are there any posts that particularly stand out to you as great or special in some way? if you can’t think of them offhand, could you maybe look through the list, read or reread, and see if any jump out at you? Once you’ve decided which ones you like best, will you let me know by either:

A. Sharing that post (I can see how often posts get shared), or
B. Telling me, either here or in the comments on my FB page, or
C. Both?

It would be a big help to me.

  1. in no specific order other than how they appear on your List:

    1) Barney’s Beanery
    2) Clifton’s Cafeteria
    3) Nick’s Coffee Shop
    4) Tony’s On The Pier
    5) Canter’s Deli
    6) Eat At Joe’s

in looking through your list (i’ve read and enjoyed them all, i swear), i was surprised not to see the Tiki-Ti… i swear i had read a posting about it here, but maybe it was somewhere else. anyway, put it on your list!
